Fortran Source Programs for Observations

The observational data set is downloaded from the web or otherwise obtained. The first Fortran program converts the data into the format of a DataFile without interpolation, although latitudes may be switched (to become south to north) and longitudes may be rotated (so that I=1 is near the International Date Line). Subsequent Fortran programs perform horizontal interpolation to the Model's 4x3 resolution. The notation M1 means individual monthly data; MC means climatological (multi-year) monthly data with an annual average as the 13-th record of the DataFile.
